Dr Pierre Milot, Ph.D., Ph.D. (tc), the Coach

Dr Milot works with a very particular and efficient coaching method of helping others to: improve, develop, learn new skills, find personal success, achieve goals and manage life changes.  As a coach he provides an ongoing partnership designed to help his clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives.  He acts as a personal catalyst, an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action.  As a coach, he listens, observes and customizes his approach to his client's individual needs.  His coaching is about getting the very best out of people and enabling them to make decisions that will improve their lives.  He always seeks to elicit solutions and strategies from his client whom he believes to be naturally creative and resourceful.  He stimulates, motivates, encourages and provides support to enhance the skills and resources that his clients already possesses.

What does Dr Milot's coaching provide?
Dr Milot's coaching provides challenge, accountability, support, inspiration, role modelling, direction and validation.  He brings ''empathy'' into the relationship, a kind of ''sounding board'' approach to help his clients clarify his/her emotions.  He helps his clients to ''think outside the box'' and identify new ways of doing things.

Dr Milot's coaching principles
Active listening is more important than talking
What motivates people must be understood
Everyone is capable of achieving more
Always provide support and inspire trust
Never provide answers and criticize people
Always remain strictly confidential and display cultural sensitivity
Recognise that all needs cannot be met by coaching.

How Dr Milot's coaching works.
Although his therapy sessions are done on a one-on-one basis, most of his coaching sessions are conducted via telephone, on online platforms such as 'FaceTime' or "Zoom".  His coaching approach is just as effective on the telephone as it is face-to-face.  This process is very convenient for both he and his clients and it offers greater flexibility. The sessions can be conducted anywhere in the world - There is no travelling time or cost involved - telephone / online coaching can be arranged with minimum prior notice.

A typical coaching session is 30 to 45-60 minutes, either on the phone or one-on-one.  It is usually complemented by unlimited e-mail coaching plus short (5 - 10 minutes) support calls as required.  Depending on the objectives, work can be done in a few weeks, but usually lasts from 3 to 6 months and sometimes even longer.

People's needs are different and coaching patterns vary.  Therefore, since circumstances and timing are unpredictable, Dr Milot's coaching relationships do not follow a single set formula.

Dr Milot's services are flexible and tailor-made to suit a person's specific needs.  The timing and style is adaptable or changeable along the way.
